  1. Hi Guys is it 4 laps of 2.5km then? I did it a few years ago and the old route was good why did it change to a trail run?

    • Hi. thank you for your message. Yes, it is 4 laps of 2.5km to make the 10km. We moved it from Park West Industrial Park to Corkagh park last year as it was felt that a park setting would be more pleasant surroundings and with a network of good, wide footpaths in Corkagh Park it was felt that it would be a good area to run too as we would not have to have our runners going from footpaths to road and back several times (safety concerns were much reduced). The response to the change last year was very positive. People enjoyed the setting, appreciated the fact that parking, registration and the start/finish were all very close and the course being quite flat and accurately measured means that it is conducive to good times. I hope that answers your question. If you would like to discuss it further please feel free to get in touch with me (01 620 5306 / Colin White, National Projects Manager IKA.
